Olive Oil Soaps...

The essential oils used in these soaps are also locally grown and harvested, wherever possible. In some cases we may need to source oils from outside the area, but we do endeavour to ensure that all the oils we are use are organic. In very rare cases we add a little natural colouring to our soaps, to enhance the appearance.

Olive oil soaps retain their fragrance in the oil itself, and so they don’t smell as strongly as the glycerine soap when first unwrapped. This isn’t a problem, and the scent will become stronger when the soap is used.

In some of our soaps we use an abundance of olive oil, or essential oil, to create soap with significantly more fragrance and moisturising benefits. In these soaps, you may find a slightly mottled appearance throughout the soap. This is perfectly normal: it is just ‘free’ oil, which indicates that there is more olive (or essential) oil in the soap than anything else, and it hasn’t dissolved fully.
